Our first show.....
"According To John" was written by Gordon Gray and G.T.P. founder Ros Standley around 1972. Gordon and Ros were concerned with the weak portrayal of Jesus in the Lloyd-Webber / Rice rock musical "Jesus Christ Superstar". The musical score was arranged by Fran Monsborough.

"John" premiered in central Melbourne's Swanston Street Church of Christ in December 1973 with Raoul Caire in the role of Jesus.

The show was G.T.P.'s main performing vehicle up to 1977 and then reappeared occasionally well into the '80's.
